Elsie is our caravan that resides at our most perfect campsite ever… St Margarets in Shottisham, Suffolk. The site is owned by our oh so lovely friends James and Claire, is home to oodles of free range chickens, sheep, alpacas, turkeys and part time pigs… and with an oh so picturesque village pubs a few minutes walk away down the hill, past the church… what’s not to love?. Claire writes a brilliant blog over at http://smallholdingdreams.com/ which tells of life at the site.
Elsie moves around the site at the beginning of each new season, and this year we found ourselves on the ‘permanent field’ which turned out to be a lovely spot. She is very much in need of an external revamp, and has been for a long time… my excuse is I can’t decide which colour to paint her… maybe next year Elsie. Elsie is our only ‘special place’ other than home where sewing takes place. Since we have gone all posh and now use hook up electricity rather than relying solely on a solar panel I am able to sew inside and outside. I have to say sitting outside, sun shining away and some favourite tunes playing is about as perfect as it can get for me in my world.
I love our Elsie !!!!
